2. CHECK OUT GLOBAL "LISTEN TO THE WALLS TALKING" IMAGES.  Sasa Sirk (Slovenia), project facilitator, writes, "It's been a little over a year since the Walls Talking project (collecting and sharing graffiti messages) started breathing and living with lots of much appreciated help and support and inspiration from dear dear cyber friends. Within our iEARN family we have received...over 600 photos from 18 different countries - Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Mexico, Romania, Russia, Spain, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, USA and Venezuela." 3. CONNECT WITH STUDENTS IN THE ONE DAY IN THE LIFE PROJECT.  Students from Thailand and the USA are currently posting introductions of themselves in the One Day Forum.  Check out their messages and post your own writings, photos and drawings representing a day in your life!  One Day Project Webpage. 

4. DEBUNKING STEREOTYPES PROJECT PUBLISHES 2009-2010 REPORT.  Saeed Al Abdulsalam (Oman), project facilitator, writes, "In its first year, the Debunk Stereotypes Project was a big success...this project aims to create a more understanding and caring atmosphere among the youth all over the world...More than 20 schools took part from different countries including Oman, Morocco, Algeria, Portugal, the USA, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, India, Pakistan, Kenya, Turkey, Brazil, France, Yemen, Taiwan, Ghana, Nigeria, and Belarus." 5. iEARN-MOLDOVA TO HOST FLEX STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES FROM EURASIA -- SEEKING US PARTNER SCHOOLS FOR COLLABORATION.  This July, iEARN-Moldova is hosting the next round of FLEX students with disabilities from Eurasia in collaboration with the American Councils for Education in Moldova (read more).  We would love to partner with an US school to assist FLEX finalists with visual and physical challenges in their struggle to improve their English speaking skills, while studying  the American culture and life style.   For more information, please contact iEARN-Moldova Representative Daniela Munca.

6. HELP TEACHERS NEW TO iEARN GET STARTED IN PROJECTS!  Your feedback is needed! iEARN-USA is developing a short online Getting Started Guide for teachers new to iEARN. This will accompany the 2010-2011 iEARN Project Book and the Collaboration Center. Our goal is to give teachers quick and easy “how to” information about participating in an iEARN project.  Please think back to the resources you used when you began your involvement with iEARN. What resources worked best and why? What resources seemed intimidating to you? What helped the most to get you and your students involved? Do you have suggestions for how we can improve the following resources? 1) iEARN Project Book, 2) iEARN Multimedia Guide, 3) iEARN international website, Building Connections Section.  We would love to hear your feedback, whether you’ve been with iEARN for 2 months or 20 years!  Ready?  Take the Getting Started Guide survey.

7. SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT TO THE STOCKHOLM CHALLENGE 2010.  The Stockholm Challenge Award is open for projects that use ICT to improve people's social and economic conditions and their environment.  Submission deadline is August 1, 2010.  More info. 

8. FREE "LEARNING WITH GAMING FOR EDUCATORS" ONLINE COURSE.  Bill Belsey, iEARN educator in Canada, has developed a Moodle-based online course, Learning With Gaming for Educators.

10. 2010 NATURAL DISASTER YOUTH SUMMIT TO BE HELD IN TURKEY, AUGUST 23-27, 2010.  The summit was started by the JEARN (iEARN-Japan) team, and has been held since 2005. The participation of 300 students  (150 students from abroad and 150 students from Turkey) has been  planned for this year.  Visit the NDYS 2010 Conference Website, or learn more about the year-round Natural Disaster Youth Summit Project.

11. SCHOOLNET SOUTH AFRICA HOSTS ADOBE YOUTH VOICES WORKSHOP, JUNE 5-6, 2010.  The iEARN-South Africa team at SchoolNet South Africa hosted a workshop at Hilton College in KwaZulu Natal for educators from around the country who have been participating in the Adobe Youth Voices program with their students.  See workshop photos.
